You can check if your notification history is enabled or not . you can also enable notification history for future recovery. Below is step by step process to recover deleted messages if your notification history is enabled .
- Open Settings
- Select Apps and Notifications
- Select Notifications and then click on Notification History
- Turn on Notification history if already turned off
You can also try third party data recovery apps to check if you are able to recover data with that apps if this method don’t work . If you have chat backup then it is easy to recover your WhatsApp messages . If you are unsure about if you have chat backup or not then you can logout from WhatsApp , and when you login again then WhatsApp will show you prompt to restore your chat backup , then you can restore with that backup easily .
If you have iPhone device then you can also logout from WhatsApp and then login again to WhatsApp then WhatsApp show prompt to recover your data using iClouds . If you already have chat backup on iClouds then you can easily recover your deleted messages . You have to click on recover data button during login and then wait for some time , it will connect to internet and recover your previous messages stored on internet .
